Flood Still Not Disappearing on Sedyatmo Toll Road, This is Jasa Marga's Effort
JAKARTA - Entering the second day after heavy rain hit the capital and its surrounding areas, the Sedyatmo Toll Road to Soekarno-Hatta International Airport was still flooded until Tuesday morning, January 13, 2026.
The flood was found at the Off Ramp Rawa Bokor KM 31+000.
Meanwhile, the puddle at the Pluit 3 Toll Gate (GT) has been successfully overcome and traffic has returned to normal.
Senior Manager Representative Office 2 Jasamarga Metropolitan Tollroad Ginanjar Bekti said that the high water discharge in the French River was one of the causes of the flood of stagnant water that had not been handled.
"The only drainage flow of the puddle that is currently happening is towards the French River. However, because the condition of the French River is still overflowing, the puddle is somewhat difficult to drain," Ginanjar said in a written statement, Tuesday, January 13.
As a responsive step to mitigate the impact of this mobility disruption, Jasa Marga has mobilized its full strength through cross-unit coordination.
The task force consists of the Regional Metropolitan Jasa Marga, JMT, Jasamarga Tollroad Operator (JMTO) to Jasamarga Tollroad Maintenance (JMTM) continuously operating a total of eight high-capacity pump machines to maximize the discharge of water from the toll road body.
In addition to mechanical interventions, Jasa Marga also carried out intensive coordination with the Ciliwung-Cisadane River Basin Agency (BBWS) to find an integrative solution in handling the overflow of the French River, considering that the problem is closely related to water discharge management at the upstream and downstream levels.
On the side of traffic management, the synergy between toll road officers and the police continues to be strengthened to carry out traffic arrangements on a situational basis to ensure the safety of road users.
"We apologize for the disruption of travel experienced by the public," he said.
As an alternative strategy to avoid density accumulation, toll road management authorities strongly recommend road users, especially those with departure schedules through Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, to diversify routes.
The use of the JORR 2 toll road network is now optional for the public to ensure the accuracy of travel time in the midst of technical handling that is still ongoing around the Sedyatmo Toll Road.
