Gold Mine in NTB Intends to IPO This Year
JAKARTA - The gold mine managed by PT Intam in Sumbawa Regency, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) has applied for an Initial Public Offering (IPO) to enter the Indonesian Stock Exchange (IDX) in 2026.
The head of the NTB Energy and Mineral Resources Agency (ESDM), Syamsudin in Mataram, Tuesday, January 13, said that the mine operating in three sub-districts in Sumbawa Regency was located within an area of 18,500 hectares.
"It already has a production operation permit," he said, quoted by Antara.
He said that although he had a production operation permit. However, until now the company owned by one of the richest people in Indonesia has not submitted activity reports or periodic activity reports (LAKB).
"Until today we have not received any reports, both regarding its activities and its production results," said Syamsudin.
Syamsudin emphasized that PT Intam's exploration zin had been issued since 2015. However, his party has not confirmed when the production permit was issued.
"During my three months in office, there has not been a single report from PT Intam. That's why we are checking with technical friends how the process and status of the permit is," he said.
He stated that the mining area of PT Intam is in the eastern part of Ropang and is not included in the people's mining area (WPR) with a concession area of around 18,500 thousand hectares.
"This is different from IPR, far away. This is the area from Ropang to the east, which is the eastern area of Ropang PT Intam," he said.
Based on data from Minerba One Data Indonesia (MODI), PT Intam is held by PT Petrindo Jaya Kreasi Tbk with 65 percent and PT Panca Sakti Cemerlang with 35 percent.
PT Intam's gold exploration in Sumbawa in the activity report until January 2026. One of their main prospects is to find a gold mineralization zone with a concentration of up to 1.27 parts per million (ppm).
The exploration activities were carried out in the area of the Production Operation Mining Business Permit (IUP-OP) of PT Intam, with an area of around 18,500 hectares which includes Lantung, Ropang, and Lenangguar Districts. Until January 2026, the exploration costs that have been disbursed amounted to IDR 6.68 billion.
