Palembang-Betung Toll Bridge, Jalintim Opened to Close on This Date
JAKARTA - The construction of the Palembang-Betung Toll Road continues to show significant progress. In the near future, construction work on Section 3 Pangkalan Balai-Betung will enter the stage of installing bridge beams.
Quoted from the upload on the official Instagram account @pupr_bpjt, Monday, January 12, the installation of the bridge beam will be carried out at Sta 97+000 to 111+690. The work will make the access road for Palembang-Betung to be open and closed at KM 69-71 (Dayat Bank) towards Jambi.
"The Palembang-Betung section 3 Pangkalan Balai-Betung Sta 97+000 to 111+690 will be carried out by installing the bridge back, which requires the opening and closing of the road/traffic flow of the Palembang-Betung Road to Jambi," explained the account.
The implementation of work and traffic flow opening and closing will be carried out twice. First, the road access will be opened and closed for 4 days on January 30-February 2, 2026. Then, on February 11-14, 2026. A total of 6 days will be closed.

Road users who will pass through the East Cross Road (Jalintim), Betung District, Jambi direction, are urged to postpone or avoid travel on the dates and times indicated to avoid vehicle congestion in the area.
For your information, the Palembang-Betung Toll Road is divided into three sections, with a total length of 69.19 kilometers. The details, Sections 1 and 2 (Palembang-Rengas-Pangkalan Balai along 54.5 kilometers have reached a development progress of 70.69 percent.
The construction of the toll road uses the Government-Business Cooperation (KPBU) scheme, which is carried out by PT Hutama Karya as the Toll Road Business Entity (BUJT).
Sections 1 and 2 were carried out by PT Waskita Karya with an investment value of Rp. 2.67 trillion. Meanwhile, Section 3 was carried out by PT Hutama Karya Infrastructure with an investment value of Rp. 2.1 trillion.
Minister of Public Works (PU) Dody Hanggodo targets that the toll road can be functional or used in the first quarter of 2026 or coincide with the Lebaran homecoming season.
