Flooding at the Container Terminal Terminal of Tanjung Priok Port, Activities Disrupted

JAKARTA - The area of the Container Terminal at the Tanjung Priok Port, North Jakarta, was also flooded by flood waters on Monday, January 12, 2026.

Due to the flooding, business activities in the area were disrupted. Even vehicles that passed were isolated.

Head of Public Relations of Pelindo Regional 2 Tg. Priok, M. Anwar confirmed the flooding that occurred in the area.

"It is true that there is high rainfall in all areas of DKI Jakarta, including North Jakarta," said Anwar when confirmed.

However, Anwar has not been able to provide official information regarding the flooding that occurred in his area.

"We will pour the response into the official release. Because we coordinate with several terminals that are affected by flooding," he said.

Meanwhile, based on the circulating video footage, the flood submersion inundated a number of vehicle roads in the area of the Tanjung Priok port container terminal, North Jakarta.

Water levels vary. Several four-wheel vehicles that were about to pass had to turn back, but there were also several minibus and container vehicles who dared to cross the flood in the container port area.
