Rain Since Morning, BPBD Jaktim Monitors Flood Points
JAKARTA - The East Jakarta Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) has monitored flood-prone areas on Kramayuda Street, Petukangan Village, RT 010/RW 005, Rawa Terate, Cakung, East Jakarta.
"Since this morning, we have been monitoring the flood-prone areas. The results of the temporary monitoring, there is waterlogging due to rain that has been falling since morning," said Head of the Task Force Coordinator for the East Jakarta BPBD Region Ali Kojim, ANTARA, Monday, January 12, 2026.
The monitoring followed the light intensity rain on Monday morning, and aims to ensure the condition of the area and minimize the impact of flooding on the activities of residents.
Ali said that monitoring was focused on points that often experience puddles and flooding when it rains.
Based on the report of the Rapid Response Team (TRC) of the DKI Jakarta Provincial BPBD East Jakarta Region, the flood began to be monitored around 09.00 WIB with a water level of about 30 centimeters (cm).
As time passed, the water level increased to about 40 cm at 10.00 WIB.
"We continue to monitor the development of water levels and the condition of drainage channels around the location. We are still on the ground with personnel," said Ali.
He explained that the moderate intensity rain that hit the area caused water to accumulate on the road and the surrounding environment of the residential area.
However, until the report was made, there were no complaints regarding residents who had to be evacuated due to the flooding.
"We continue to prepare officers to anticipate an increase in flooding," said Ali.
During the monitoring activity, the East Jakarta BPBD deployed two TRC personnel to conduct direct monitoring in the field and report on the development of the situation periodically.
Ali appealed to all residents in flood-prone areas to remain vigilant, especially when it rains.
Residents are also asked to immediately report to the relevant parties if the flood rises higher or interferes with daily activities.
"Coordination with the village elements and related institutions continues to be carried out so that treatment can be carried out immediately if conditions worsen," said Ali.
