Present Dirly Idol, Kiat Coffee Shop Still Exists in Yogyakarta
YOGYAKARTA - Yogyakarta is synonymous with 1000 coffee shops. Intense competition makes the current coffee shop make breakthroughs and be creative so that it exists in the midst of the coffee shop invasion. The trick of presenting celebrities such as Dirly Idol was carried out by Anak Panah Kopi Bizz Jogja while celebrating its fourth anniversary on Friday, January 9, 2026 WIB.
Yogyakarta was once called a book city, which accompanied the title as a student city because many universities had been established for a long time. At that time, many book stores or book stores were scattered in every corner of Yogyakarta City. Not to mention the book exhibition that is routinely held.
And of course there is a very iconic book center, a shopping center, which is known as 'shopping' only. A book market that originally provided used books but then many kiosks selling 'unofficial' books alias pirated.
In addition, there are newspaper clippings, old magazines mixed with old and new books but not official. Shopping that has been moved to Taman Pintar near Malioboro has become a paradise for students, especially students, and anyone who wants to get books.
But now Yogyakarta has changed. It is no longer a book city but has become synonymous with 1000 coffee shops. In every corner of the city, it is easy to find a hangout or 'nugas' term for students who choose to complete their campus assignments at a coffee shop.
Based on data in 2025, there are no less than 3,500 coffee shops scattered throughout Yogyakarta. In fact, just 1 km away you will meet one or two coffee shops that are close by.
"Currently, from the southern tip to the northern tip of Yogyakarta there are already coffee shops. Almost every 1 km there is always someone selling coffee with menu offers that are not much different. If someone closes his cafe, but a barudi cafe will appear somewhere else," said Anton Soebiyakto, one of the owners of Anak Panah Kopi Bizz.
According to him, the coffee shop is not far from the available menu such as americano, cappuccino coffee, latte coffee or vietnam drip and V60. In addition, there is Spanish latte, to non-coffee such as tea and chocolate which often use the word tea or choco.
"All coffee shops offer coffee with a delicious taste. That is the basic requirement. But in order for us to exist in the midst of fierce competition? There must be a breakthrough and how we create so that visitors glance at our coffee shop. The breakthrough is by providing extra services and a friendly smile. There are 3S that our employees must do, namely Smile, Sapa, and Salam. It must exist," said Anton.
"We prioritize service. Consumers are not only served with menus as our products, but also with friendly SOP. And facilities such as free sanitary pads and cotton are available in the toilet. We provide toilets that are very pro-women. That's what makes them come back again," he said.
Anton also conveyed that the entertainment side did not escape his attention by regularly featuring live music every Friday night. Including in the 4th Anniversary entitled "APK Groovyland", Anak Panah Kopi Bizz invited singer Dirly Idol to entertain loyal visitors. In the celebration, Anak Panah Kopi Bizz also delivered prayers for brothers in Sumatra who suffered from the disaster of flooding.
Dirly's performance, which is familiar to visitors, makes the music stage a lively one. In addition to presenting the Idol, Anak Panah Kopi Bizz opened a market of artists who enlivened perfume, koko clothes and gamis.
"It just so happens that Dirly is on vacation in Yogyakarta. So we invited him to celebrate his birthday. Moreover, he has his own fans in Yogyakarta," said Anton.
"We hope that visitors who come here will be surprised because they can meet artists or celebrities. Dirly's presence really enlivened the birthday of Anak Panah Kopi Bizz," he said again.
