Hesti Purwadinata's Husband Receives Threats After Posting Support for Aurelie Moeremans
JAKARTA - Actress Aurelie Moeremans recently revealed the sad reason behind her decision not to repost support messages from fellow artists and friends on social media.
This step was taken not because he did not appreciate the support, but for the safety of his closest people.
Through a message shared in the "Broken Strings Circle" group, Aurelie explained that this decision started from an incident that befell presenter Hesti Purwadinata and her husband, Edo Borne.
Aurelie said that after she reposted a support post from Hesti Purwadinata, Hesti and her husband began to receive a series of threats from irresponsible parties.
The terror entered through various platforms, ranging from Direct Message (DM) to WhatsApp messages.
"Of course it was not touched. But still, it was disturbing. And I don't feel good," wrote Aurelie, quoted by VOI from his personal Instagram, Sunday, January 11.
He emphasized that he was ready to face risks or threats if it was directed directly at him. However, he felt very burdened if people who intended to help him were dragged into the problem.
"If I am threatened, I can accept it. But if other people are also affected just because they stand next to me, it's hard," he added.
In the same upload, Aurelie also showed a screenshot containing a threatening message sent to Edo Borne (Hesti's husband). In the message, the sender forced to get a response and gave a time ultimatum.
"I'll wait for the feedback, bro... I'll pass you because I still respect you as Hesti's husband... I'll wait 1x24 hours, bro... so I know I have to take legal action if necessary," the threatening message read.
In response, Aurelie mocked the sender's actions with a short comment, "HEHE love 1x24 hours.." followed by a ghost emoji.
By not reposting, Aurelie hopes that the party who spread the terror does not know who is on his side. This is done purely to protect the privacy and security of his friends from "unclear" interference.
At the end of her message, Aurelie assured her supporters that all prayers and support remained with her even though they were not shown to the public.
"Your prayers and support are up to it. Quietly, but strong," he concluded with a white heart emoticon.
