Kemenkum and IP Scheme Digitalization of Rp10 Trillion Ready to be Launched in 2026
JAKARTA - The Minister of Law (Menkum) Supratman Andi Agtas said that the digital transformation program carried out for services from the Ministry of Law (Kemenkum) for the public will be completed completely in April 2026, which is also a gift after Eid.
He said that digital transformation was also the main direction conveyed by President Prabowo Subianto to the Ministry of Law. With that, he also made it a main focus since he first took office as the Minister of Law.
"I have indeed announced that it is inevitable, (public services) must be digitized. Digitization will make services easier, and provide certainty," said Supratman, quoted by Antara, Sunday, January 11.
He conveyed this when the agenda for a meeting between the Ministry of Law and the editorial leaders (Pemred) on Friday (9/1) at the Ministry of Law Building, Jakarta.
On that occasion, he also gave an idea to pass financing based on intellectual property (IP) to content creators.
According to him, the presence of the Directorate General of Intellectual Property (DJKI) not only provides protection, but also forms an ecosystem so as to have an influence on economic movements.
"Alhamdulillah, finally it was agreed that Indonesia would prepare a platform for our creative industry of IDR 10 trillion for 2026, and the most proud thing is that we are the 15th country in the world to prepare financing based on this (IP)," he said.
This social gathering was attended by 31 editors-in-chief, several senior journalists, and representatives from the Press Council. The agenda also included the President Director of ANTARA, Benny Butarbutar.
He also said that this activity was part of efforts to strengthen government communication, as well as reflect the president's commitment to ensure that the republic's development ideas, policy directions, and expectations can be understood and passed on intact to the public.
