BEI Closes Positive Week, Volume and Transaction Value Soar

JAKARTA - PT Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) announced stock trading data during the period from January 5 to January 9, 2026 closed in a positive zone.

The highest increase occurred in the average daily transaction volume of the Exchange this week, which was 48.08 percent to 61.78 billion shares, from 41.72 billion shares in the previous week.

Then, the average daily transaction value of the IDX also increased by 44.68 percent to Rp31.45 trillion, from Rp21.74 trillion in the previous week.

The average daily transaction frequency also increased by 42.74 percent to 3.98 million transactions, from 2.79 million transactions last week.

The movement of the Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG) also moved up this week, namely by 2.16 percent so that it closed at 8,936.754, from the position of 8,748.132 last week.

On Wednesday, January 7, the JCI closed by recording an all-time high at 8,944.813. Then on Thursday, January 8, the JCI also managed to break the psychological level of 9,000 intraday, with a high point reaching 9,002.92.

Then, the capital market capitalization of the IDX also increased by 1.79 percent to Rp. 16,301 trillion from Rp. 16,014 trillion in the previous week.

Meanwhile, foreign investors today recorded a net buy value of Rp2.56 trillion and throughout 2026 this recorded a net buy value of Rp3.1 trillion.
