Benjamin Sesko Believes Manchester United Will Be a Great Team Again

JAKARTA - Manchester United is still a team that is confused entering 2026. They are also without a win in two English League matches earlier this year and have no permanent manager.

The Red Devils only played a 1-1 draw against Leeds United which led to the dismissal of Ruben Amorim. In the next match, they were also able to get one point with a 2-2 result against Burnley under interim manager, Darren Fletcher.

Manchester United's management is not planning to bring in a permanent manager after Amorim, who has only coached the club for 14 months.

A number of names are on the list, ranging from Ole Gunnar Solksjaer, Ruud van Nistelrooy, to Michael Carrick - all three former Red Devils players. However, the new manager - who will replace Fletcher - is also interim because he is leading until the end of this season.

It was only this summer that Manchester United were looking for a new permanent manager.

Seeing the situation, one of the Red Devils' players, Benjamin Sesko, still floated optimism that his team would be taken into account again.

The reason is that the new players who were brought in last summer have started to be tough and compact.

"Of course. I think in general we are a very great team. We do everything to give our best every time."

"We just need to keep moving forward, keep fighting, because I think we're great, yeah, I believe great things will come," Sesko said.

The Slovenian player also began to gain confidence. Sesko is still struggling to make an impact since his move with a big transfer fee from RB Leipzig, but he showed his ability with two slick finishes at home to Burnley.

Even though the 22-year-old's goal was still stuck, the two goals boosted his motivation.

Whoever ends up taking over Manchester United will be happy to have him in the front line to rely on.

"It feels amazing because we created good chances, especially with those two goals. Good movement, good pass."

"With this situation, we showed what kind of team we are, what we are capable of and this is good for the future, of course," said Sesko.

Although pleased with the impact and confident in the quality of the team, Sesko realizes that Manchester United needs to start winning.

"Of course it feels disappointing because I think we fought, we gave our best, we created a lot of chances."

"We created good chances. Unfortunately, we conceded two goals. We still got a draw. However, now it's up to us to try to focus on the details and try to win the next game," he told MUTV.
