BPTD Postpones Departure of Situbondo-Madura-Lembar Ferry Boat

SITUBONDO - The Situbondo Anchor Crossing Port Service Unit, East Java Class II Land Transportation Management Office (BPTD), has postponed the departure of the motorboat crossing the Jangkar (Situbondo) - Sumenep (Madura) route, and Jangkar-Lembar (West Lombok / NTB) due to extreme weather.

The supervisor of the Situbondo Anchor Crossing Port Service Unit BPTD Class II East Java Abdul Hamid explained that sailing activities from the Anchor Port to several islands in Sumenep Regency, Madura were postponed due to extreme weather, in the form of strong winds and waves reaching around 3.5 meters.

"The delay in the departure of motor boats crossing from the anchor to several islands in Sumenep Regency, starting today until a day or two days ahead while waiting for the weather to improve," he said in Situbondo, Saturday.

He explained that today KMP Dharma Kartika was stuck at the Anchor Port and had to postpone departure due to bad weather, in the form of high waves in the Sumenep Sea waters.

"It should be, according to the schedule, the KMP Dharma Kartika cruise will depart from the Anchor Port to the Kalianget Port and Raas Port, Sumenep Regency, at 08.00 WIB.

"However, because the waves reached about 3.5 meters in the waters of the Sumenep Sea, it must be postponed until the weather is good. If there is no accumulation of passengers on the Situbondo-Madura route at the port, because it was announced a few days ago," he said.

He said the departure of the motorboat crossing from the Anchor Port, Situbondo to the Lembar Port, West Lombok Regency (NTB) was also postponed because it was still waiting for information on weather certainty in the waters of northern Bali and the waters of the Lombok Sea.

KMP Trimas Laila route Anchor-Sheet, is currently also stuck at the Anchor Port and has not received permission to sail because there is no certainty about the weather conditions on the route.

"If it goes according to schedule, KMP Trimas Laila should have left at 08.00 WIB to Lembar, we are still waiting for information on the weather conditions from KSOP Lembar, and if possible, if the weather is good this afternoon, it will be sent out," he said.
