Bukayo Saka Will Sign a New Five-Year Contract at Arsenal

Arsenal have agreed a new long-term contract framework with Bukayo Saka.

Launching ESPN, both parties have been convinced for several months that the 24-year-old player will commit to his future at the club. There are indications that the negotiations are close to reaching a positive conclusion.

The deal is not yet finalised and Arsenal declined to comment when contacted by ESPN. However, Saka is expected to sign a five-year contract that would make him one - if not the highest - paid player at the club.

Kai Havertz is widely considered to be the highest-paid player at the Gunners on 280,000 pounds per week (around Rp6.3 billion).

Arsenal have been working to tie down their key talent with long-term contracts. William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes, Ethan Nwaneri, and Myles Lewis-Skelly all had contract extensions last year.

Saka, who came through the club's Hale End academy, is one of Arsenal's most influential players and has captained the team on several occasions, scoring seven goals and six assists in 27 appearances this season.

Speaking in September 2025, Mikel Arteta's manager had said about Saka's contract situation.

"I would be very happy (if he signs a new contract). From everything I know, once again he is a player who is very happy and proud to be here."

"He has the role he has at this football club. He has developed naturally as it always happens."

"Everyone knows how important Bukayo is for us, so hopefully we can do it," Arteta said at the time.

Arsenal are expected to turn their attention next to Declan Rice, who has two-and-a-half years remaining on his contract, with an option for an additional 12-month extension.
