BoBoiBoy's Papa Zola Film Connects with Indonesian Audience

Monsta Studio together with Astro Shaw and MD Pictures collaborated to present the film Papa Zola The Movie: Game On. This film features characters from the world of Boboiboy which is well known to the public.

Director Nizam Abd Razak as the creator and voice actor welcomed the rapidly growing animation industry in Indonesia. He also knows that BoBoiBoy fans in Indonesia are very massive.

"I hope this film can really relate to the Indonesian market. We know there are many fans of Monsta and BoBoiBoy here. They have also grown up with Papa Zola and BoBoiBoy. So, I hope the story can connect because it is about everyday life between parents and children," said director Nizam Abd Razak in Central Jakarta on Saturday, January 10.

Furthermore, he explained that the character of Papa Zola was chosen to be the focus of the story because he wanted to make the story of a father as a hero for the family highlighted.

"So far, Monsta has focused more on the shonen genre (children's superheroes). This time, we want to bring a father figure as a hero. So, we carry the theme of family hero," he explained.

"If BoBoiBoy is the elemental hero and Mechamoto is the armor hero, then Papa Zola is the family hero. I think there aren't many stories that highlight the figure of a father for a family. Hopefully, this will be a kind of "love letter" for fathers out there," said Nizam.

The film Papa Zola The Movie: Game On tells the story of Papa Zola who lives the needs of his family every day. Until one day, his old friend reminds Papa Zola about his life and career in the past.

Papa Zola The Movie: Game On will be shown in Indonesian cinemas starting January 23.
