KPK Finds Money and Foreign Exchange During OTT of Tax Official for Jakut Region

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) held a hand-in-hand operation (OTT) and secured the head of the North Jakarta Regional Office of the Directorate General of Taxes on Friday, January 9 evening. During the activity, a number of money was also found.

"(The number, ed) has not been counted, while there are hundreds of millions of rupiah and there is also foreign exchange," said Deputy Chairman of the KPK Fitroh Rohcahyanto to reporters in his statement, Saturday, January 10.

It has not been detailed how many parties were secured in this activity. From the information obtained, the parties who were caught in the silent operation were already in the KPK Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, to undergo an examination.

Later, the KPK will determine the status of the parties who were secured through the title of the case or expose. "Later tonight," said Fitroh when asked about the activity.

According to the legal rules, the KPK has 1x24 hours to determine who the parties are entangled and the reasons. The official announcement will be made through a press conference.
