Inara Rusli's CCTV Illegal Access Case Entered the Fingerprint Stage
JAKARTA - The case of the report of alleged illegal access related to the CCTV footage of Inara Rusli's private house which he submitted to the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police has officially risen to the investigation stage.
Inara Rusli visited the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police on Thursday, January 8, 2026, accompanied by her lawyer, Lechumanan, to undergo a Report of the Examination (BAP). This step was taken after investigators conducted a case study and found strong criminal elements.
"Today I am a BAP at Bareskrim for an illegal access case, accompanied by my lawyer, Bang Lechumanan," said Inara Rusli when met at the Bareskrim Polri, South Jakarta, Thursday, January 8.
Inara's lawyer, Lechumanan, explained that the status of his client's report had been upgraded from an investigation to an investigation as of January 7. His party claims to have strong evidence of individuals who illegally take and disseminate Inara's personal data.
"I need to explain, this illegal access case has risen to the investigation stage. The title of the case was carried out on January 6, and the determination of the rise in the fingerprint was on the 7th yesterday. So today the examination is at the investigation level," said Lechumanan.
As a result of the increase in the status of the case at the Criminal Investigation Unit, Inara Rusli's party gave a strong insistence to the Polda Metro Jaya. The reason is that Inara is currently also being processed at the Polda Metro Jaya for Wardatina Mawa's report regarding alleged adultery, where the CCTV footage was used as evidence.
Lechumanan emphasized that the CCTV evidence used by the opposing party was obtained in a way that violated the law.
"We ask the Polda Metro Jaya to hold (hold) the next examination. Why? The evidence they used there is how to get it is not valid. According to Mbak Inara's statement, the way to get it is against the law," he said.
He added that the process at the Criminal Investigation Unit must be prioritized in order to test the validity of the primary evidence. "If something is obtained in an illegal way, then the investigation is also certainly not valid. We ask that this report at the Criminal Investigation Unit be prioritized," he added.
Inara suspects that more than one person was involved in this CCTV data hacking. Given the seriousness of personal data violations, they are targeting high penalties for perpetrators.
"We ask for fair enforcement of the law. We ask that the Criminal Investigation Unit be prioritized because the threat of punishment is higher, it can be 6 years. I ask Mr. Kabareskrim, don't let anyone try to intervene in this case," said Lechumanan.
Meanwhile, Inara Rusli only hopes that justice can run as it should. Although he admitted to being tired of the protracted conflict, he was committed to following the legal procedures. "Hopefully the law can stand without discrimination," Inara said briefly.
This conflict heated up after Wardatina Mawa, the wife of businessman Insanul Fahmi, reported Inara Rusli to the Polda Metro Jaya for alleged adultery in November 2025. In his report, Mawa attached CCTV footage of Inara's private house as proof of Inara's closeness to her husband.
Inara then reacted by reporting the alleged illegal access to the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police. He alleged that the CCTV footage was taken without permission from his personal device by a third party before it was used by the Mawa party.
