Deputy Chairman of the Bulungan DPRD, Tasa Gung Ajak Warga Kompak Bangun Desa Jelarai
BULUNGAN - Deputy Chairman of the Bulungan Regency DPRD, North Kalimantan (Kaltara), Tasa Gung, emphasized the importance of maintaining the cohesiveness and unity of the people of Jelarai Village as the main foundation for development. He also asked the community to leave the old conflicts and the habit of saling knocking down which actually hindered the progress of the village.
"If we want to move forward, the old problems in the previous year must be left behind. Don't bring it to this year. We will not develop if we still bring each other down," said Tasa Gung when attending the New Year's Thanksgiving Prayer for the middle Jelarai, Friday, January 9.
Tasa Gung said that Jelarai village has a strong social capital, namely the togetherness of the residents accompanied by the role of parents, customs, community leaders, and village governments.
"This capital must be maintained with a mutual respect and prioritizing empathy in community life," said Tasa Gung.
This member of the Hanura Bulungan Faction hopes that the Jelarai community should be proud of the cohesiveness that has been seen by outsiders.
"People see Jelarai as compact. That's what we have to take care of. Don't let us ruin it by insulting each other," he said.
Tasa also reminded that differences in political choices should not be an excuse to divide society.
"I am in the DPRD not belonging to a certain group, but to the entire community. There is no more story of choosing who, it is choosing who. It is ridiculous and shameful," said Tasa.
"The cohesiveness of the residents of Jelarai must continue to be maintained so that village development can run sustainably and provide real benefits for future generations," he said.
