Pramono Promises All Jakarta Kelurahan Have a Health Center in Eranya

JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung promises to meet the shortage of health service facilities in every neighborhood during his time leading Jakarta. It is recorded that currently, dozens of neighborhoods in Jakarta do not have a sub-health center.

Pramono delivered the promise of the provision of health centers in every neighborhood of Jakarta while delivering services at the Kebayoran Lama District Health Center, South Jakarta.

"Hopefully in my era, all the auxiliary health centers will be fulfilled," said Pramono, Friday, January 9.

Pramono revealed that in 2026, the DKI Provincial Government had planned to build five sub-district level health centers.

"The point is I want to finish. Later we will detail it for that," he continued.

Pramono revealed that currently all sub-districts in Jakarta have health centers. According to Pramono, the sub-district level health centers in Jakarta have been operating quite well. One of them is the Kebayoran Lama Health Center which he reviewed today.

"Frankly, when I saw this Puskesmas, I was surprised because the Puskesmas was almost like a hospital in cities in the area," said Pramono.

On average, Kebayoran Lama Health Center serves 600 to 700 patients per day, with 41 general practitioners and 14 dentists. According to Pramono, this puskesmas service can be a pilot for Jakarta and other areas.

"I was also reported that almost all of the Puskesmas in Jakarta, especially those bordering the surrounding areas of Jakarta, make more use of one of them, namely residents from the border," said Pramono.

Some time ago, Member of the E Commission of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Abdul Aziz, urged the DKI Jakarta Health Service to optimize the existence of auxiliary health centers at the sub-district level. This step is considered important to expand access to basic health services for the community.

Based on the data he conveyed, until now there are still 15 villages in DKI Jakarta that do not have a supporting health center. These villages include South Duri, Jembatan Lima, Karanganyar, Karet Semanggi, Tangki, Gambir, South Gunung Sahari, Cikini, Senen, Gondangdia, Kebon Kacang, Kemayoran, Cipedak, and South Kebayoran Lama.

Aziz assessed that the auxiliary health centers have a strategic role because they are closest to the people. However, this role has not been optimal due to the limitations of available health facilities and services.

"So, I encourage the DKI Provincial Government to complete that every sub-district must have a Puskesmas," said Aziz at the DKI Jakarta DPRD building, some time ago.

He said that the fulfillment of health facilities at the Assistant Health Center would greatly help the community's health service needs, especially for initial treatment before being referred to larger facilities.

Moreover, according to Aziz, the auxiliary health center is a health facility that is easily accessible by residents in residential areas.

"This should have been anticipated through the Puskesmas-Puskesmas in the village," he said.
