Xiaomi Prepares Refresh of SU7, Complete Safety Features and Reach of 902 Km

JAKARTA - Xiaomi EV has officially applied for the latest version of the SU7 electric sedan, referring to the regulatory catalog released today by the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, which reveals its core specifications. CNevpost, Friday, January 9, in terms of dimensions it remains the same as the previous version, comes with a length of 4,997 mm, a width of 1,963 mm, and a height of 1,445 mm, with a wheelbase of 3,000 mm. The product offers a single motor and dual motor variants. The single motor version has a peak power of 315 hp. Meanwhile, the dual motor variant produces a peak output of 220 kW at the front and 288 kW at the rear. The latest version is equipped with a lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery or a ternary lithium battery, supplied by manufacturers including CATL and BYD. The report mentions that the latest version presents improvements in various fields. Exterior and interior details have been refined, advanced driving assistance hardware has been optimized, and safety features have been improved, especially with the addition of a special power backup system for door locks on all models.

The updated SU7 features subtle exterior upgrades, including an optimized front grille design. A new Capri Blue color option has been added in addition to the existing Bay Blue. While maintaining the 20-inch wheel size, the tire width has been increased from 245 mm front and rear to 245 mm front and 265 mm rear on all models, thus improving the rear grip. The interior now offers a new Dark Black color option in addition to the existing Obsidian Black. The steering wheel design has been improved, with more refined details on the secondary instrument panel, door panel, and seat seams. Previously, the basic long-distance rear-wheel drive model did not have LiDAR and had lower computing power. Now all models are equipped with LiDAR. The number of safety airbags has increased from 7 to 9 in all models. The range figures have also increased across the product line, the Standard model has increased from 700 km to 720 km CLTC, the Pro model from 830 km to 902 km CLTC, and the Max model from 800 km to 835 km CLTC.
