Danantara hands over 600 Huntara to the Aceh Tamiang Regency Government
JAKARTA - The Anagata Nusantara Power Investment Management Agency (BPI Danantara) officially handed over 600 temporary housing units (huntara) to the Aceh Tamiang Regency Government.
The housing development was carried out by the ranks of BUMN works, including PT Hutama Karya (HK), PT Wijaya Karya (WIKA), PT Waskita Karya (WSKT), and PT Adhi Karya (ADHI).
Danantara emphasized that the huntara that was built met the standards for emergency housing, not just a place of refuge, but a decent living space for survivors.
The complex has a safe structure, decent sanitation, access to clean water, electricity, and health services.
Development also considers the recovery of people's social life.
Additional facilities such as basic service clinics, children's playgrounds, and free internet access are provided so that residents' activities can resume.
Development Target 15,000 Units
The government targets the construction of 15,000 huntara units in the next three months, with the main focus in Aceh Tamiang as the area most affected by flash floods and landslides.
Previously, Deputy Head of the State-Owned Enterprises Regulatory Agency, Aminuddin Ma'ruf, ensured that all huntara residents would be exempt from basic utility bills.
In fact, it is also equipped with Telkom networks by Telkomsel.
Aminuddin said that there were 15,000 huntara units that were targeted to be built by BUMN Karya gradually in disaster-affected areas, including North Sumatra, West Sumatra, and Aceh.
"We target 15,000 hunters, which we will build in the next 3 months," he said in a coordination meeting with the Post-Disaster Recovery Task Force of the People's Representative Council, which was broadcast on the YouTube of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Tuesday, December 30.
