PDIP Will Discuss Political Attitude at the National Party Congress in Ancol Next Week

JAKARTA - The Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) will hold a 53rd anniversary celebration which will be followed by a National Working Meeting (Rakernas) at the Beach City International Stadium, Ancol, Jakarta on January 10-12. This activity will discuss a number of issues and will be attended by central and regional managers, members of the Indonesian House of Representatives, DPRD to regional heads.

"In this National Congress, political attitudes will be discussed, including the party's answers to various geopolitical issues, ecological crises, corruption, economic issues, law enforcement, to the party's internal programs and the party's citizenship responsibilities," said PDIP Secretary-General Hasto Kristiyanto to reporters through a written statement, Friday, January 9.

Hasto emphasized that the I PDIP National Congress was also in the framework of consolidation as a balancing party. So, the real work of this party with the bull symbol can be felt by the community as it happened when helping to handle disasters in Aceh, North Sumatra, West Sumatra and other areas.

"PDI Perjuangan asserts itself as a Balancing Party with real work among the people in the midst of various disasters that have hit the country, with a spirit of humanity, justice and partiality to the people," he said.

Furthermore, the I PDIP National Congress will take the theme of Satyam Eva Jayate with 'That's Where I Stand for Eternity' as a sub-theme.

Satyam Eva Jayate is a Sanskrit word which means 'Truth will prevail'.

"The theme of Satyam Eva Jayate is a moral shield with the standard of the truth of the Pancasila ideology with the spirit of its birth on June 1, 1945," said Hasto.

"For young people, Satyam Eva Jayate is not just a slogan, but a moral message in the digital world to dare to speak critically as a mirror of freedom of expression protected by the Constitution and dare to take the 'anti-mainstream' path in fighting for truth and justice," he continued.

Meanwhile, the sub-theme 'That's Where I Stand for Eternity' was taken to illustrate the resilience that accompanies Satyam Eva Jayate. "Firmness in the position 'that's where I stand' also illustrates loyalty to the people's path in the midst of the temptations of political pragmatism," concluded Hasto.
