Aceh Tamiang Government Office Cleaning Achieved 30 Percent
JAKARTA - The Head of the Aceh Recovery Team Task Force (Kasatgas) of the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri) Ulung Sampurna Jaya said that the progress of cleaning government offices in Aceh Tamiang Regency has reached about 30 percent.
He added that a number of government offices had been declared completed and ready to move to the next recovery phase.
"(The office) Bappeda and the Health Office were declared clear today, and continued with other service offices," said Ulung as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, January 8.
He said this cleaning was part of the effort to restore government activities in Aceh Tamiang Regency which involved thousands of Praja Institute of Internal Government (IPDN) and State Civil Service (ASN) from the Ministry of Home Affairs which were deployed gradually since last weekend.
Ulung explained that Praja IPDN was dispatched in two waves, each on January 3 and 4, 2026. Active recovery activities began on Monday (5/1/2026) by setting a number of operational targets at various government office locations.
"(There are) 27 operational targets and all of them have been carried out," he said.
According to Ulung, the achievement of this progress was driven by the completion of most of the manual work carried out by the IPDN staff. Meanwhile, the continuation of work in outdoor areas, especially the transportation of mud, will be carried out by the assistance of heavy equipment.
In its implementation, each operation point involves an average of 2 IPDN praja platoons, adjusting to the area and level of damage of the location. In addition, IPDN also alerted a number of praja to strengthen points that require additional personnel.
"If the area (area) needs a larger (many) praja, then it will be added," said Ulung.
He also explained the work pattern applied in the field. Praja carried out technical work with the direct assistance of Kasat Dharma and supervision of Kasat Wira to ensure that all activities were carried out according to plan.
With the support of continuously optimized heavy equipment, Ulung is optimistic that all recovery targets can be completed in a relatively short time.
"If the heavy equipment is complete and the weather is supportive, God willing, it can be completed within 10 days. I feel optimistic when I see the progress (there)," he said.
