Ahead Of Face-to-Face Learning From The Bogor City Government Anxiety, There Is A Spike In COVID-19 Cases
JAKARTA - Deputy Mayor of Bogor, Dedie A Rachim, is concerned about a surge in positive cases of COVID-19 in his area ahead of the implementation of face-to-face learning trials (PTM) in schools in the 2021-2022 school year starting July 2021.
Dedie A Rachim said that ahead of the new school year, the Bogor City Education Office is ready to carry out PTM trials in 73 schools, namely junior high schools and elementary schools in Bogor City, starting Monday, May 31, 2021.
Dedie A Rachim's concern is because at Griya Melati Bubulak Housing, Bogor City, there is an active spread of COVID-19, within two weeks, from May 14 to May 27, there were 85 people confirmed positive for COVID-19.
"In the past week there has been a surge in COVID-19 cases in the city of Bogor, especially from the family cluster in Griya Melati Housing," said Dedie as quoted by Antara, Friday, May 28.
In fact, he said, the government had made regulations on the prohibition of Eid homecoming and restrictions on the movement of the community, the goal was to prevent a spike in positive cases of COVID-19.
Moreover, he said, the government has prepared the implementation of PTM in schools in the new academic year 2021-2022 starting July 2021.
"If there is a spike in positive cases of COVID-19 in the next few weeks, the implementation of the PTM will be reconsidered. If Bogor City enters the red zone again, then the implementation of BTM can be canceled," he said.
According to Dedie, if Bogor City returns to the red zone and the implementation of PTM is canceled, then education in Bogor City will be left behind from other areas that implement PTM.
Therefore, Dedie continues to remind residents of Bogor City to continue to maintain discipline and cohesiveness, and comply with government regulations to continue to strictly implement health protocols.
According to Dedie, in preparation for the implementation of the PTM trial starting Monday, May 31, so that schools really have prepared health protocol facilities.
These health protocol facilities, such as washing hands with soap and water, hand sanitizers, body temperature measuring devices, benches in each class are only 50 percent of their capacity, and the school health unit (UKS) room.
Dedie has also made visits to several schools that are prepared to carry out PTM trials, to ensure the readiness of health protocol facilities and other readiness.
