Prosecutor Searches ESDM Office in Bengkulu Related to Mining Corruption

BENGKULU - Investigators from the Bengkulu High Prosecutor's Office carried out a forced attempt, namely a search at the Bengkulu Provincial Energy and Mineral Resources Office (ESDM) and the house of the 13th suspect, namely Soni Adnan (SA) who is in the Kampung Bali Village, Bengkulu City.

The search at the Bengkulu Provincial ESDM office and the house of former Director of PT Ratu Samban Mining (RSM) Soni Adnan was carried out in connection with the case of corruption in coal mining with a total state loss of Rp. 1.8 trillion.

"We have today made a forced effort related to the Tipikor Mining case, to complete the results of the search will be submitted to the Head of the Bengkulu Regional Attorney's Office," said Acting Head of the Legal Information Section (Penkum) of the Bengkulu Regional Attorney's Office, Deni Agustian, as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, January 8.

Based on the results of the search, investigators seized a number of files related to coal mining companies in Bengkulu Province such as PT Ratu Samban Mining, to Inti Bara perdana.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Investigation Section of the Bengkulu Regional Attorney's Office, Pol Martua Siregar, explained that the files and items seized by the investigators would be used as evidence in the case currently being prosecuted in the prosecution.

"For the results, we seized files in two locations that we have searched, starting from the Bengkulu Provincial ESDM office and the suspect SA's house," he said.

From the search, his party did not rule out the possibility of adding new suspects, because until now his party continues to investigate.

"If the question is related to whether there are other parties who will be additional suspects, then it depends on the results of the trial if there is an expansion and evidence related to other parties, it is not possible that there is if there is none, then the opposite," he said.

Previously, the Bengkulu Prosecutor's Office named 13 people as suspects and 12 of them are undergoing trial, namely Commissioner of PT Tunas Bara Jaya Bebby Hussy, General Manager of PT Inti Bara Perdana Saskya Hussy.

Director of PT Ratu Samban Mining Edhie Santosa Rahardja, Head of Branch PT Sucfindo Bengkulu Iman Sumantri, President Director of PT Tunas Bara Jaya Julius soh, Marketing Director of PT Inti Bara Perdana Agusman, Director of PT Inti Bara Perdana Sutarman.

Furthermore, Commissioner of PT Ratu Samban Mining David Alexander Yuwono, Head of Mine Inspector of ESDM for the period 2022 to 2024 Sunindyo Suryo Herdadi, Head of Mine Inspector 2024 Nazirin, Awang brother Bebby Hussy, and Andy Putra brother Bebby Hussy.

Meanwhile, another suspect who has not undergone trial is the former Director of PT Ratu Samban Mining, Soni Adnan.
