President Prabowo Gives Bonus to SEA Games Athletes, Ask to Be Used for Future Savings

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto gave bonuses to medal-winning athletes at the Thailand SEA Games at the State Palace, Thursday, January 8.

In his speech, President Prabowo asked that the bonus be used for future savings. President Prabowo emphasized that the life of an athlete requires great sacrifices that not everyone is able to carry out.

Therefore, every achievement must be truly appreciated by the state. President Prabowo also touched on the mental strength of athletes who perform at the international level.

According to President Prabowo, not everyone has the fighting spirit to compete to carry the name of the nation. President Prabowo also conveyed a message that the bonus received should be used wisely as a future resource, both for oneself and for the family.

As previously reported, the Indonesian contingent performed brilliantly at the 2025 Thailand SEA Games. The Red and White team ranked second in the final standings with 91 gold medals, 112 silver, and 130 bronze.
