SNBP 2026 Opened, Commission X of the DPR asked schools to actively register students who have achievements

Member of Commission X of the House of Representatives, Muhammad Hilman Mufidi, asked schools to play an active role in registering students who have achieved excellent results, who want to continue their education to state universities.

This was conveyed by Hilman in response to the National Selection Based on Achievement (SNBP) 2026 which began on Thursday, January 8.

"Schools have a very decisive role in SNBP," Hilman told reporters.

Hilman also emphasized the importance of strong coordination between the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology (Kemendiktisaintek) and the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education (Kemendikdasmen).

According to him, cross-ministerial coordination is crucial so that information related to SNBP can be delivered evenly to the regions.

"Kemendiktisaintek needs to coordinate intensively with the Ministry of Education, so that SNBP information can be effectively forwarded to the regions through the education service," he said.

Hilman explained that the role of the education service in the region is the key to the success of the SNBP. He hopes that the Education Service will not only convey information, but also actively carry out socialization to schools and provide technical assistance during the SNBP process.

"Schools that play an active role in registering students who have achieved will open greater opportunities for students to continue their education to state universities," said Hilman.

On the other hand, Hilman reminded that the lack of school activity could have a serious impact on the students' future. If the school is not active in registering, said Hilman, then students who excel cannot apply through the SNBP channel.

"This is certainly detrimental to students, especially those from the region," he said.

Hilman also hopes that through solid coordination and massive socialization, the implementation of SNBP 2026 can run more inclusively and fairly.

"And really provide equal opportunities for students who excel throughout Indonesia," he concluded.
