National Police Chief And TNI Commander Encourage The Mandago Raya Task Force To Combat MIT Group Terrorists

JAKARTA - National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo and TNI Commander Marshal TNI Hadi Tjahjanto provide direction and motivation to task force personnel to continue to fight to enforce the law to eradicate terrorism in Central Sulawesi.

In his briefing, the National Police Chief emphasized all members of the Mandago Raya Task Force to continue to enforce the law against the remaining nine IT Mujahidin Team of East Indonesia (TIM) IT.

"The state will not lose to terrorism groups. There is no place for terrorist groups in the country," said the National Police Chief, quoted by Antara, Friday, May 28.

General Sigit confirmed that the presence of the Madago Raya Task Force in Central Sulawesi aims to create a situation of security, public order (kamtibmas) that is safe and conducive.

According to him, creating a safe and conducive social security situation requires increased participation from all elements of society, especially in Central Sulawesi.

This time, the Mandago Raya operation is entering its second phase which takes effect from April 1 to June 30, 2021, with a total of 808 joint TNI / Polri personnel involved.

"Optimize the role of each task force, increase solidity and synergy in each task force unit, and eliminate egosectoral inter-task forces," continued the Chief of Police emphasized.

If in law enforcement against the MIT DPO group experiencing problems in terms of equipment and personnel, continued the Chief of Police, it must be communicated so that it can be resolved immediately.

"The number of personnel and equipment that is lacking should be asked for the shortcomings," said Sigit.

The National Police Chief and the TNI Commander continued a joint working visit after traveling from Papua to Central Sulawesi.

TNI Commander Marshal TNI Hadi Tjahjanto appreciates and supports all personnel in the Madago Raya Task Force who continue to struggle to pursue the MIT DPO group, both led by Ali Kalora and Qatar.

According to the TNI Commander, the law enforcement operation is not easy, it is not uncommon for the Mandago Raya Task Force to experience several challenges, such as weather and geographical location.

Therefore, the Panglima reminded all personnel to increase community participation in suppressing terrorism networks while maintaining solidity and synergy among fellow officers.

"We are currently carrying out joint operations. So, my message is one, we must let go of the egosectoral because it is not the framework of the match, but to unite to eliminate these nine terrorists. Second, good communication, good coordination and collaboration," ordered the TNI Commander.
