Feeling Trapped, Ammar Zoni Reveals the Irregularities During the Search at the Salemba Detention Center
JAKARTA - In addition to revoking the BAP, Ammar Zoni also revealed irregularities in the search process in his cell at the Salemba Detention Center. He hinted that the evidence that was found seemed to have appeared suddenly.
Ammar recounted that the prison officer who carried out the search, whom he called Eka, initially had recorded the process using video.
"Actually, the search was being videoed... Mr. Eka yesterday," said Ammar Zoni during a trial at the Central Jakarta District Court, Thursday, January 8.
According to him, in the initial video recording, the officer actually showed him that there was no evidence found in his cell.
"He was videoing and he showed me himself that there was nothing," Ammar explained.
After the first search which was nil, the officer left the cell. "That's why he came back, left," he continued.
However, the strangeness occurred shortly afterwards. The same officer suddenly came back and claimed to have found evidence.
"Well, suddenly he came out of nowhere, and immediately said like that," said Ammar.
