Corruption Case for Rp2.15 Billion Irrigation Project, Dompu District Attorney of NTB Names 3 Suspects
MATARAM - The Dompu District Prosecutor's Office, West Nusa Tenggara, revealed the role of three suspects in the alleged corruption case of the Sori Paranggi irrigation area rehabilitation work at the Dompu Public Works and Spatial Planning (PUPR) in the 2020 fiscal year.
Head of the Dompu District Attorney's Intelligence Section, Joni Eko Waluyo, said that the role of each suspect was revealed based on the results of the determination of the case title which was carried out on Wednesday, January 7.
"The first suspect with the initials AM, acted as a field worker who used or borrowed the legality of the CV Moris Diak owned by the suspect AB to carry out the work," he said.
Furthermore, the suspect AB as the director of CV Moris Diak was revealed to have deliberately lent his company to the suspect AM as part of fulfilling the administrative requirements in the project auction process.
Then, the third suspect with the initials AS from the government who played the role of the Budget User Authority (KPA) as well as the Contract Signing Officer in the contract agreement letter number: 012/Contract/KPA/DI SORI PARANGGI/DPUPR/2020, dated October 27, 2020, with a budget ceiling of Rp. 2.15 billion
Joni emphasized that in the determination of the three suspects, his party had found at least two valid pieces of evidence.
One of them, the results of the audit of the calculation of state financial losses (PKKN) from the NTB Inspectorate with a value of Rp. 638 million.
From the determination, the prosecutor applied the criminal rules contained in the new Criminal Code (KUHP), namely Article 603 in conjunction with Article 604 jo. Article 20 letter c of Law Number 1 of 2023 concerning the Criminal Code jo. Article 18 of Law Number 20 of 2001 concerning Amendments to Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning the Eradication of Corruption Crimes.
Furthermore, Joni explained that investigators had detained the suspects by entrusting them to the Dompu Class II B Prison.
