Ridwan Kamil Says He Is Honest After Atalia's Divorce Petition Is Granted

JAKARTA - The shocking news came from a pair of public figures, Ridwan Kamil and Atalia Praratya.

After undergoing a 29-year-old domestic life, the divorce legal process between the two has now reached the final round with the acceptance of the divorce lawsuit by the court.

Responding to the verdict, Ridwan Kamil's party through his representative, Wenda Aluwi, expressed the response and attitude taken by the former Governor of West Java.

Wenda explained that this separation was not a decision that was taken easily, especially considering the age of their marriage which has almost reached three decades.

According to Wenda, Ridwan Kamil as the husband's party has actually made various maximum efforts to save their marriage. Love and a long history for 29 years are strong reasons for him to try to survive.

"Of course, as a husband who is divorced by his wife, he has made efforts to maintain his marriage. Moreover, this has been 29 years," said Wenda in Central Jakarta, Wednesday, January 7.

However, these efforts seem to have hit a dead end. Wenda explained that there had been in-depth communication between Ridwan Kamil and Atalia Praratya before this decision was finally made.

In the dialogue, Atalia remained firm in her stance to file for divorce.

Seeing the strong desire of his wife, Ridwan Kamil finally chose the path of wisdom. Instead of imposing his will, he chose to prioritize sincerity for the common good.

"Through the communication that was established, it turned out that Mrs. Atalia still wanted to file for divorce. We saw the wisdom of a husband who then gave sincerity to let go of Mrs. Atalia and allow her to file a lawsuit," continued Wenda.

Ridwan Kamil's attitude in allowing this legal process to run shows maturity in facing domestic turmoil. Although heavy, this sincerity is the last form of respect for the wife's wishes.
