WhatsApp Launches Three New Features for Group Chat Rooms
JAKARTA - WhatsApp has launched three new features to improve the user experience in communicating in group chats. This feature is available to help users express themselves better.
The first feature launched is the Member Tag. This new ability allows users to provide the context of their role within a group. Users can customize their identity in various groups, for example, being a 'Coach' in one group and a 'Class Leader' in another group.
This tag will help new members in a group recognize someone's position or responsibilities without having to ask questions. In addition, WhatsApp also released the 'Text Sticker' feature which can turn any word into a sticker and send it in a chat room.
This text in the form of a sticker does not require editing. Users can immediately search for the sticker in the sticker search column by typing the word they want to use. Once the sticker with the desired word appears, users can immediately tap the sticker.
In addition to being sent to the chat room, Text Stickers can also be directly saved into a personal sticker pack. The last feature that WhatsApp presents for its users is the 'Event Reminder'. With this feature, event organizers can set special reminders so that group members do not miss important agendas.
This reminder system is very useful for ensuring that all members are present on time in online meetings and offline parties. With this feature, coordination between group members can be done more easily. The organizer does not need to remind his members through a private chat room.
All of these features are already available on WhatsApp for both Android and iOS devices. Users can also find the three latest features on WhatsApp web. If your application has not received any of the three or any of the update list above, be sure to update your application first.
