OpenAI Introduces ChatGPT Health, a Special Feature for Managing Health Information
JAKARTA - OpenAI officially introduced ChatGPT Health, a special experience within ChatGPT designed to help users understand and manage their health and fitness.
The company said you can link your medical records to ChatGPT as a basis for the conversation, so that the response becomes more relevant and useful to you.
ChatGPT Health was designed through close collaboration with 260 doctors in 60 countries, this feature is expected to help people better understand their health, but not to replace the care role of doctors.
Through ChatGPT Health, users can connect electronic health records (Electronic Health Records/EHR) and various fitness apps such as Apple Health, MyFitnessPal, Function, and Weight Watchers.
This integration allows ChatGPT to help explain laboratory test results, prepare questions before a doctor's consultation, to compose dietary advice and exercise routines.
However, OpenAI insists that ChatGPT Health does not provide medical diagnosis or treatment. This feature is focused on helping to understand everyday health information and seeing health patterns over time.
ChatGPT Health also operates as a separate space within ChatGPT with additional privacy protections. Health conversations and data are stored isolated from other chats, are equipped with dedicated encryption, and are not used to train OpenAI's AI models.
"Your health information is very personal. That's why Health is designed as a dedicated space with additional protections for sensitive health information and easy-to-use controls," OpenAI wrote in its announcement.
Currently, ChatGPT Health is only available to a small group of early users. OpenAI plans to expand access gradually and target wider availability on the web and iOS in the coming weeks.
EHR integration and a number of applications are currently limited in the United States, while Apple Health requires an iOS device.
