Strengthen the Second Round of Super League 2025/2026, Persita Brings Ramon Bueno Ex Persija
JAKARTA - Persita Tangerang moved quickly in the mid-season transfer market by bringing in Ramon Bueno. The former Persija Jakarta midfielder was signed as preparation for the second round of the 2025/2026 Super League.
After leaving Persija at the end of the 2024/2025 season, Ramon Bueno was without a club for half a season. However, now he is back in Indonesia to strengthen Persita, which is coached by Carlos Pena.
Previously, while still wearing the Persija Jakarta uniform, Bueno was also a mainstay of Carlos Pena who was also the coach of the Capital City team. With the Kemayoran Tigers, this Spanish player became a mainstay of the coach in the midfielder position with a record of appearing 28 times in the 2024/2025 Liga 1.
Now, when Pena got the chance to train Persita Tangerang, he didn't waste the opportunity to work with his compatriot again.
For Bueno, there was no need for much consideration to accept Persita Tangerang's proposal. The atmosphere of competition in the country that he had felt was one of the reasons he didn't think twice about joining the Cisadane Swordsman.
"One of the most important things why I want to join Persita is because last season I have already experienced football in Indonesia."
"The atmosphere here is amazing. When the offer came from Persita, I didn't take long to accept it," Ramon Bueno said in his official statement from the club quoted on Wednesday, January 7, 2026.
In this cooperation, Persita did not reveal the duration of the contract given to Ramon Bueno. The club only hinted that the former Villarreal player would help the team's struggle until the end of the season.
As for Ramon Bueno, he became the 11th foreign player in the current Persita squad. That means he fills the last foreign player slot that was vacant in the first round.
"I came here to help the club achieve its goals and reach the best position at the end of the season. I want to give my best when I get the chance to play."
"Even though I have only been training here for a few days, Tangerang is a comfortable place. I hope to meet my teammates and coaches soon, and to be able to establish good communication with them," said the 30-year-old player.
