Saudi Arabia Continues to Distribute Food Aid to Refugees in Gaza

JAKARTA - The King Salman Humanitarian and Relief Center (KSrelief) continues to carry out humanitarian efforts in the Gaza Strip by distributing food aid to refugees in the southern part of the region.

This initiative is part of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's campaign to help the Palestinian people.

As reported by ANTARA from SPA, the Saudi Cultural and Heritage Center field team, a partner of KSrelief in the Gaza Strip, on Tuesday (6/1) distributed food packages for refugees who lost their homes and sources of income.

This emergency aid delivery is considered very important to alleviate the suffering of refugees and provide food and basic necessities for them.

The initiative also strengthens the Kingdom's leading role in humanitarian and relief efforts, embodies the principles of helping those in need and highlights its moral and humanitarian commitment to the Palestinian people.

Previously on Monday (5/1) KSrelief also established a new refugee camp in Gaza City to accommodate families returning from forced displacement in the central and southern Gaza Strip after their homes were completely destroyed by a major disaster.

The camp was established in the Tel Al-Hawa neighborhood, one of the most severely affected areas in Gaza City.

The Saudi leader instructed an increase in the distribution of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip through air, sea, and land routes.

The move was taken in response to the deteriorating humanitarian situation in the region and channeled through the Saudi Campaign to Support the Palestinian People.

The head of KSrelief, Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Rabeeah, in a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) stated that the directive was a continuation of Saudi Arabia's humanitarian commitment to assisting Palestinians affected by the crisis in the Gaza Strip.
