NTB Regional Police Thwarted Narcotics Transactions From Aceh, 1 Kg Of Sabu Stored In A Pillow

MATARAM - The West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police (Polda NTB) thwarted a transaction of one kilogram of methamphetamine from Aceh at a hotel in the Batu Layar area, West Lombok Regency.

The Director of Drug Research (Dirresnarkoba) of the NTB Regional Police, Kombes Helmi Kwarta Kusuma Putra Rauf, said that smugglers from Aceh and their recipients were also arrested in the raids on drug transactions.

"We arrested them when they were about to hand over the shabu-shabu in the hotel room," Helmi said as quoted by Antara, Friday, May 28.

The methamphetamine smuggler from Aceh who was arrested by a special team from the NTB Police Satbrimobda had the initials EDL, a man from South Tangerang. The recipients were two people from Sumbawa with the initials, YZ and IZ. They were arrested from the results of developing community information.

Evidence of drugs with a gross weight of one kilogram, according to Helmi, was found stored in a hotel room pillow.

"Shabu-shabu, with a gross weight of one kilogram, was found in five black plastic packages with brown tape," he said again.

EDL's admission, said Helmi, was that the ordered packages were brought directly from Aceh, using the air route, the plane that EDL was carrying had transited in Jakarta and Bali.

"Then from Bali, he came to Lombok by land route, crossed by ship and got off at Sheet Harbor," he also said.

Upon arrival in Lombok, EDL took the ordered package to stay at the hotel where he was arrested.

"From the two recipients, we got information that this item will be sent to Sumbawa," said Helmi as well.

In another statement, these interprovincial drug transactions have been successfully carried out by them. According to EDL, he has transacted with YZ and IZ three times.

"So this is the fourth time they have made transactions in large quantities of shabu-shabu," he said.

YZ and IZ claimed to be just messengers. There is a promised wage every time you take an ordered item.

"Once delivery they receive a wage of Rp 5 million per ounce," he said again.

Regarding the information obtained from the two men from Sumbawa, Helmi now emphasizes that his party is pursuing the role of an errand boy.

"This case is still ongoing and pursuing the main actor," he said.

As a result of his actions, now the three perpetrators who are undergoing detention at the NTB Police Headquarters are threatened with Article 112 paragraph 2 and or Article 114 paragraph 2 of Law No. 35/2009 on Narcotics.
