Sempat Dibocorkan di Tur, Katseye Resmi Rilis Internet Girl sebagai Single Baru
JAKARTA - The global group Katseye presents a new single after undergoing their first tour in North America. Titled "Internet Girl", this song has become a favorite of the audience when previewed in the 16-city tour, officially released today via HYBE x Geffen Records.
The song delves into the chaos of life in the online world, with irony, discussing hypervisibility, and the performance of digital identities. This theme is very natural for Katseye, who was recently named TikTok's Global Artist of the Year.
On this track produced by Mattman & Robin (Taylor Swift, Imagine Dragons), they move nimbly between self-expression and satire. The result? Self-aware pop with a catchy sense of humor.
"Trust me, this new @Katseyeworld song will be played over and over until further notice..." wrote Coveteur. Meanwhile, Sweety High called "Internet Girl" "addictive to listen to for the first time," and told how the tour audience could move to follow the song in the second chorus even though they had just heard it for the first time.
Katseye himself is enjoying the peak moment. In addition to the successful tour, they were nominated for two GRAMMY®: Best New Artist and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance through the hit "Gabriela". The song, along with "Gnarly", is on the EP BEAUTIFUL CHAOS which debuted in the top 5 of the Billboard 200. "Gnarly" which has a global stream of 647 million, is on the list of Best Songs of 2025 from The New York Times (position 2), NME, Stereogum, and FADER.
Meanwhile, "Gabriela" which was praised by Rolling Stone and Billboard entered the top 5 of searches for song lyrics on Google Year In Search.
Not only music, Katseye's influence extends to fashion and culture. They are on the list of "The 67 Most Stylish People of 2025" by The New York Times. Their "Better in Denim" campaign for GAP Fall 2025 went viral, with fans imitating the ad's choreography created by Robbie Blue. Bustle noted that almost everything the group does tends to go viral. They also decorated the "Year In Culture" edition of New York Magazine.
Katseye, which consists of Daniela (Cuba/Venezuela-America, Atlanta), Lara (India, New York), Manon (Ghana-Italy, Zurich), Megan (Chinese-American, Honolulu), Sophia (Manila), and Yoonchae (Seoul) - is a unique group born from the strict K-pop system through the Dream Academy program (and the Netflix documentary Pop Star Academy: Katseye).
