Ganjar's Electability Skyrocketed, Puan Maharani Is Still Behind
JAKARTA - The electability of Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo has skyrocketed. In fact, the results of the survey were able to pass the Minister of Defense Prabowo Subianto, who has always been in the top position.
The results were known through the newly released Y-Publica survey institute. Y-Publica noted that Ganjar Pranowo's electability reached 20.2 percent.
"Ganjar's electability continues to advance until it reaches 20.2 percent," said Y-Publica Executive Director Rudi Hartono in a press release, Friday, May 28.
Ganjar's name became increasingly popular and was discussed by the public after he was not invited to the PDIP event in Semarang. The reason is because Ganjar is too ambitious to become a presidential candidate.
On the other hand, continued Rudi, Puan Maharani's survey who was said to be a rival still had to submit because she did not move from the lowest position. Puan is not included in the radar of the top 5 potential candidates.
"The position of the top four presidential candidates is still controlled by Ganjar, Prabowo, RK, and Anies," explained Rudi.
Rudi reported that the electability trend of Ganjar and RK tended to increase. Meanwhile Prabowo is starting to stabilize and Anies tends to decline.
"If you look at trends in the past year, Ganjar and RK have the opportunity to become strong competitors for Prabowo," he said.
In the Pemprov rank, apart from Ganjar, Ridwan Kamil and Anies Baswedan also increased their electability. There is also the former mayor of Surabaya, Tri Rismaharini, who is currently the Minister of Social Affairs and the Governor of East Java Khofifah Indar Parawansa.
For information, the Y-Publica survey was conducted on 1-10 May 2021 with 1,200 people representing all provinces in Indonesia.
The survey was conducted by telephone to respondents who were randomly selected from the previous survey since 2018. Margin of error ± 2.89 percent, 95 percent confidence level.
