PDIP Has Difficult Coalition With PD-PKS In 2024, Secretary General Offends SBY 'Mr Bansos'
JAKARTA - PDI-P Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto spoke about the picture of the 2024 coalition. Hasto spoke of the Batu Tulis agreement between his party and Prabowo Subianto to Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY).
"If the Batu Tulis inscription referred to in the political context, Prabowo and Megawati, yes the election is over in 2009. So that the conditions for running a joint government when winning the election are proven to be unrealized," said Hasto in a written statement.
This response was conveyed by Hasto regarding Secretary General Gerindra Ahmad Muzani's statement regarding Prabowo's opportunity to be carried by the PDIP in the 2024 Presidential Election. This was related to the Slate Agreement between the two parties in the 2009 Presidential Election, when Megawati-Prabowo ran as a running mate.
Afterwards, Hasto talked about the 2009 General Election. Hasto alluded to the victory of the Democrat Party, which was then led by SBY.
"I heard from the internal Democrats themselves regarding the fraud in the 2004 and 2009 elections, and how in 2009 I became a witness to the manipulation of the DPT, how Thaksin's social assistance policy was carried out so that there are parties who call Pak SBY the father of Indonesian social assistance," explained Hasto.
He explained Marcus Mietzner's research which analyzed the 2009 Election. Hasto said that in June 2008-April 2009, there were 2 billion US dollars of funds used for social assistance politics. This was done because it imitated Thaksin Shinawatra's strategy in Thailand. The politics of populism, Hasto continued, then took the state budget hostage.
According to Hasto, this was later imitated by regional heads throughout Indonesia, namely competing to hold social assistance as part of electoral politics. But it actually contains vulnerabilities in fiscal stability in the future.
"How can power politics be used, how can electoral politics use large funds so that the Century case and so on. We don't want to be like that," said Hasto.
"Politics should make power to be obtained in the right way. We believe in the value of this nation, if power is not obtained properly, it will bring political karma in the form of physical and mental misery," said Hasto.
Therefore, Hasto said that it would be very difficult for PDIP to form a coalition with parties such as PD who use electoral political bases related to social assistance.
Likewise with PKS, PDIP, he said, has different ideological platforms, making it difficult to run in a coalition. However, the dialogue with the two parties, continued Hasto, can still be carried out.
Hasto explained that the PDI Perjuangan cooperation within the framework of 2024 will be built on historical and ideological bases. For example, with PAN which has a main base in Muhammadiyah; with PKB and PPP which have a base in NU and with Gerindra and Golkar which have a base as work parties.
"So everything has an ideological basis, common platform, history and strengthens electoral function," said Hasto.
"I also had several dialogues with the Gelora Party, especially with Fahri Hanzah," added Hasto.
