LRT Jabodebek Records 6,995 Lost Passenger Items Throughout 2025

JAKARTA - LRT Jabodebek recorded as many as 6,995 passenger items left throughout 2025 in the station area and train series. The estimated value of the left-over items reached IDR 797.7 million.

"Of this amount, 3,399 items have been successfully returned to their owners, while the rest are still in the process of being managed by officers," said LRT Jabodebek Public Relations Manager, Radhitya Mardika in an official statement, Wednesday, January 7.

Radhitya revealed that the dynamics of people's daily journeys make luggage management an important part of maintaining the safety and comfort of users.

"Luggage is part of the activities of urban communities. When placed appropriately, the travel space can continue to function optimally for all users," said Radhitya.

As part of public services, PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) has set baggage provisions to support this comfort. Users are only allowed to carry items with a maximum size of 100 x 40 x 30 centimeters, accompanied by a ban on carrying dangerous goods.

"In the train series, users can use shelves above the seats and special storage areas so as not to hinder the movement of other passengers," he said.

Not only that, LRT Jabodebek provides a storage facility at Halim Station, operating daily from 05.00-23.00 WIB with a maximum storage duration of 72 hours. This facility provides flexibility for users who continue their journey using other modes.

Radhitya emphasized that services such as storage and Lost and Found are part of efforts to provide urban transportation that is increasingly responsive to community needs.

"Public transportation is not only about moving from one point to another, but about how mobility space is managed. Luggage arrangements, storage of goods, to lost and found services are part of efforts to provide a safe, orderly, and sustainable travel experience," he concluded.
