Delica Mini and Delica D:5 Become Mitsubishi's Stars on the Tokyo Auto Salon 2026

JAKARTA - Mitsubishi Motors Corporation will also take part in the Tokyo Auto Salon 2026, one of the largest custom car exhibitions in the world, which will be held from January 9 to 11 at Makuhari Messe, Chiba, Japan.

A total of 11 vehicles will be exhibited, with a custom version of the latest Delica Mini super height-wagon kei-car and the Delica D:5 minivan that has been upgraded as its main attraction.

Carrying the theme 'Festival Delica', Mitsubishi Motors prepared a stage for the show with custom vehicles highlighting the strength and versatility of Delica D:5 and Delica Mini. To add excitement, the rally car that won the overall victory at the 2025 Asia Cross Country Rally (AXCR 2025) and the Delica D:5 support car will also be exhibited.

Visitors will be greeted in a festive and Japanese-inspired festival atmosphere, complete with themed decorations.

"The presence of Delimaru, the official mascot inspired by Delica Mini, will bring the cheerful spirit of the "Delica Festival" while greeting guests at all booths," Mitsubishi wrote, quoted from its official website, Wednesday, January 7.

There is Delica Mini Delimaru Festa, this model is decorated with a touch of stickers and wraps featuring the beloved mascot, Delimaru. There is Delica Mini Ultimate Gear, designed specifically for the Tokyo Auto Salon 2026, this Delica Mini features an exclusive two-color finish, reinforced with a rough textured layer to add a bold and tough impression.

In addition, there is the Delica D:5 Active Camper, featuring a warm white birch fiber finish combined with a soothing brown interior, this model is the result of collaboration with the LOGOS outdoor brand.

Next is the Delica Mini TOMICA 55th Anniversary Edition, this rally-inspired Delica Mini was created as part of the TOMICA Automotive Manufacturer Collaboration Project in celebration of its 55th Anniversary, to celebrate the heritage of the beloved Japanese diecast miniature car brand.
