iPhone 16 Pro Robbery by the Kelapa Gading Church Congregation Caught on CCTV
JAKARTA - The Criminal Investigation Unit of the Kelapa Gading Police managed to identify two sadistic robbers who took away the iPhone 16 pro belonging to a church congregation in the Kelapa Gading area, North Jakarta.
The action of the two perpetrators was successfully recorded by the CCTV camera at the scene. In the CCTV camera footage, the perpetrator was seen riding a motorcycle approaching the victim.
After getting the opportunity, the perpetrator immediately took the victim's iPhone 16.
Even worse, the victim's body was dragged several meters because he tried to hold on to his iPhone. After being dragged, the victim also bounced.
"We have checked the CCTV. We have found a bright spot on the perpetrator's characteristics," said the Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Kelapa Gading Police, AKP Kiki Tanlim, when confirmed, Tuesday, January 6, evening.
In addition, investigators from the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Kelapa Gading Police also continue to collect a number of evidence and examine the testimony of witnesses.
"The case is still under investigation, but there is already a light at the end of the tunnel," he said.
Previously reported, a church member woman with the initials RAF (32) from Kalideres was the victim of a snatching while going to church in the Kelapa Gading area.
The incident of snatching occurred in front of the south gate of Gading Kirana, Jalan Boulevard Artha Gading, Kelurahan Kepala Gading Barat, Kelapa Gading District, North Jakarta.
"The victim was going to worship at the church located at the Maxwell Hotel. Due to the full parking lot, the victim's car was parked at the kirana shop," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of Kelapa Gading Police, AKP Kiki Tanlim when confirmed, Monday, January 5, 2026.
Then, when the victim was about to get into a car from the church, he was approached by 2 perpetrators riding a black Honda Beat motorcycle.
"The perpetrator took the victim's bag. The victim was able to hold the bag, but was not strong and fell," he said.
The victim then reported the incident to the Kelapa Gading Police for further investigation.
