The realization of the 2025 East Kalimantan APBD Budget reaches 86 percent.
JAKARTA - The realization of the East Kalimantan Provincial Regional Budget (APBD) for the 2025 fiscal year was reported to have not reached the target that had been set.
Until the end-of-book position at the end of December 2025, the East Kalimantan Provincial Government recorded a budget absorption rate of 86 percent.
East Kalimantan Governor Rudy Mas'ud admitted that there was a trend of decline compared to the previous year's performance.
In the 2024 period, the absorption of the East Kalimantan budget was able to penetrate 91 percent.
"Compared to last year, there was indeed a decrease. This year, our absorption is at 86 percent," said Rudy Mas'ud as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, January 6.
It is known that the total East Kalimantan Provincial Budget (Kaltim) in 2025 after the change was set at Rp. 21.74 trillion.
The achievement of 86 percent was also missed from the initial projection of the local government which aimed for a minimum 93 percent spending realization target.
However, Rudy noted that the positive performance of the regional revenue sector was able to be realized at 93 percent of the target.
Regarding the financial condition of the region after the closure of the fiscal year, Rudy revealed that the funds stored in the regional treasury currently range in the amount of Rp. 788 billion.
Although it does not detail the overall details of the Surplus of Budget Financing (SiLPA), the figure shows the regional liquidity position to start 2026.
As a step of evaluation, Rudy emphasized that technical and administrative constraints were a serious concern.
For the 2026 fiscal year, the East Kalimantan Provincial Government is committed to making systemic improvements to avoid the accumulation of absorption at the end of the year.
One of the main strategies to be taken is to accelerate the procurement process for goods and services and mature the planning of activities from an early stage.
"The implementation of the auction will still refer to the applicable regulations, but the planning must be more prepared. We want to ensure that there are no more delays that have an impact on the low realization of the budget," said Rudy.
Through this step, it is hoped that the absorption of the 2026 APBD can be more optimal, so that the economic impact of government spending can be felt directly by the people of East Kalimantan in a timely manner.
