Aceh Provincial Government Sets UMP 2026 to Increase 6.7 Percent to Rp3.9 Million

BANDA ACEH - The Aceh Provincial Government has set the Aceh Provincial Minimum Wage (UMP) for 2026 to increase by 6.7 percent or become Rp. 3,932,552 per month.

"Yes, the Governor has set the 2026 Aceh UMP, which is stated in the decision on the determination of the 2026 Aceh UMP and the decision on the 2026 Aceh Provincial Sectoral Minimum Wage," said the Aceh Government Spokesperson, Muhammad MTA, as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, January 6.

In his decision, Aceh Governor Muzakir Manaf increased the 2026 Aceh UMP by 6.7 percent or Rp246,346 from the previous year. Thus, the 2026 Aceh UMP became Rp3,932,552.

This increase, he continued, was based on consideration of recommendations and suggestions from the Aceh Provincial Wage Council which had held a plenary session at the end of December 2025.

Based on certain index values, this increase in UMP Aceh is also influenced by the alpha value ranging from 0.5 to 0.9.

Therefore, the representative of the Aceh government in the plenary session agreed on the lowest increase value with the consideration that Aceh is currently in a flood and landslide disaster condition which has a wide impact in 18 districts/cities.

"This provincial and sectoral minimum wage (UMSP) has been in effect since January 1, 2026," said Muhammad MTA.
