DJP Records 20,289 Taxpayers Have Reported Annual Income Tax Returns

JAKARTA - The Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) of the Ministry of Finance reported that as of January 5, 2025, a total of 20,289 taxpayers had submitted Annual Notification Letters (SPT).

Director of Extension, Services, and Public Relations of the DJP, Rosmauli, said that the number consisted of 14,926 tax returns from employee tax objects, 3,959 from non-employee tax objects, and 1,397 tax returns for bodies reported in rupiah currency and 7 tax returns for bodies in US dollars.

He added that as the reporting of Annual Income Tax Statements increased, the activation and utilization of Coretax accounts also experienced significant growth.

Until January 5, 2026, a total of 11,397,471 taxpayers have logged in or activated the Coretax account, including 10,489,395 individual taxpayers, 819,407 taxpayer bodies, 88,448 government agencies, and 221 traders through the Electronic System (PMSE).

As is known, starting January 1, 2025, the official annual tax return reporting will be carried out through the latest tax administration system, namely the Coretax System.

Rosmauli expressed his appreciation to taxpayers who have fulfilled their tax obligations since the beginning of the year.

"We appreciate taxpayers who have reported the Annual Income Tax Return since the beginning of the year through Coretax. This participation shows the growing awareness and willingness to contribute in an orderly manner, which is an important foundation for a healthy tax system," he said in an official statement quoted on Tuesday, January 6.

He also emphasized that these achievements not only reflect quantitative data, but also show positive changes in public attitudes and involvement.

"This figure is not just a statistical achievement. Behind it there is the spirit of the taxpayer to carry out their obligations consciously and on time. This is the positive change that we continue to encourage," he said.
