Adhi Karya Tak Gerak, Pramono Bakal Ambil Alih Material Bongkaran Tiang Monorel Mangkrak

JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung ensures that the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government will carry out the demolition of the broken monorail pole on Jalan HR Rasuna Said, South Jakarta, even though the asset belongs to PT Adhi Karya.

"The monorail pole that is doing it is the DKI Jakarta Government, the Road Construction Service," said Pramono when met at Kobongan Market, Central Jakarta, Tuesday, January 6.

Pramono admitted that he had sent a letter to PT Adhi Karya (Persero) and asked the state-owned company to dismantle the broken monorail pole since November 2025.

However, until now, Adhi Karya has not moved to demolish it. Therefore, Pramono emphasized that the DKI Provincial Government itself would realize it.

The material assets of the former monorail project will be taken over by the DKI Provincial Government.

"Adhi Karya has been consulted by us and the deadline has passed, we will do it ourselves. Later we will put it in the place where it was demolished, of course it will be the full authority of Jakarta," said Pramono.

Pramono revealed that the process of demolishing the pole located in the middle of the Rasuna Said Road would be carried out in the third week of this month. He ensured that the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government would close the road during the implementation.

"We will do it in the third week, whether it's Tuesday or Wednesday next. For that, no road closures will be carried out. So the demolition will still be carried out, with the existing experience, Bina Marga coordinates to carry out the demolition, no closures will be carried out," said Pramono.

Since a few years ago, the Jakarta monorail project pillars that are stuck along HR Rasuna Said and Asia Africa roads have begun to be considered disturbing.

Initially, the construction of the monorail project in Jakarta began in 2004. At that time, the Governor of DKI was still held by Sutiyoso. The DKI Provincial Government worked together with PT Jakarta Monorail as the developer or investor of the project.

The failure of the project began to appear after several years of construction. When the monorail pole was anchored, DKI Governor Fauzi Bowo (who replaced Sutiyoso) stopped the construction due to financial problems.

In 2014, former Governor of DKI Jakarta Basuki Tjahaja Purnama canceled the contract with PT Jakarta Monorail. In the court's ruling, the assets of the monorail pole were declared to belong to Adhi Karya, so that the state-owned company wanted to dismantle it.
