The title of the Second Cabinet Retreat, Prabowo: Evaluation of Our Work Last Year

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto explained the reason for the second retreat in Hambalang today as part of an effort to consolidate and sharpen the direction of government policies at the beginning of 2026.

In a briefing delivered at the Garuda Yaksa Training Center, the Head of State stated that the meeting was designed to provide training and reflection together on the government's journey.

"My considerations are to first evaluate our work last year, then we understand the condition of our nation in the midst of the dynamics and turmoil of the world," he said in Hambalang, West Java, Tuesday, January 6, quoted by Antara.

President Prabowo said that this retreat has several main considerations. First, as a forum for evaluating the government's performance throughout the previous year.

In addition, the President said, the retreat is intended to strengthen mutual understanding of the condition of the nation in the midst of the ever-evolving global dynamics and turmoil.

Furthermore, the President emphasized the importance of looking ahead by setting strategic steps and goals that must be achieved in the current year.

According to Prabowo, a clear and measurable policy direction is the key to facing various national challenges.

On this occasion, President Prabowo also touched on a number of trials faced by the nation, including natural disasters that hit several areas, such as in three provinces, including Aceh, North Sumatra and West Sumatra, as well as a number of areas in West Java, East Java, and Central Java.

He assessed that the situation was a real reminder of the complexity of the problems that the government had to face.

However, President Prabowo emphasized that the series of challenges actually showed the strength of the country.

He stated that the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia has and continues to prove its ability to face various crises, both to the people and to stakeholders.

"We have been able and continue to prove to our people and indeed to ourselves, to our elite, that the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia has strength. We understand that and we have proven it in 2025 and we will prove it in 2026," he said.

President Prabowo Subianto has again gathered all members of the Red and White Cabinet to undergo a retreat at his private residence, Padepokan Garuda Yaksa, Hambalang, Bogor, West Java.

This agenda is the second retreat held by the Head of State after the briefing 'The Military Way' at the Magelang Military Academy in October 2024.
