Support Firli Bahuri, Demonstration Mass At KPK: Get Rid Of Novel Baswedan Right Now
JAKARTA - A crowd of supporters of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) leaders rallied to ask Firli Bahuri to immediately fire Novel Baswedan and the 74 employees who did not pass the National Insight Test Assessment (TWK).
This request was conveyed in a demonstration that was held around the KPK's Red and White House. This action was not held in front of the anti-graft commission headquarters because the road was still closed.
"We ask Pak Filri and other leaders to immediately remove 75 employees," said one of the orators from the top of the command car on Friday, May 28.
The protesters also specifically requested that Novel, a senior KPK investigator, be immediately removed from his position.
"Drive out, kick out, kick out the NB (Novel Baswedan, red). Get rid of the NB right now," they shouted.
Based on VOI's observation, the mass calling themselves the Indonesian Student and Youth Alliance carried a banner containing support for Firli Bahuri et al, to immediately dismiss them. The action is still ongoing until this afternoon.
"Fully supports the KPK leadership in dismissing 51 employees who did not pass TWK," the banner reads.
Previously reported, the KPK has held a coordination meeting to discuss the fate of 75 employees who failed the National Insight Assessment (TWK) and were disabled. Apart from the KPK and the National Civil Service Agency (BKN), this meeting was also attended by the Minister of Law and Human Rights Yasonna Laoly and MenPANRB Tjahjo Kumolo.
As a result, 51 KPK employees out of a total of 75 employees who did not pass TWK were confirmed to be fired from their jobs as of 1 November. While 24 employees may still be provided with guidance, even if they do not pass the training for state defense and national insight, they can also be fired.
The National Insight Test (TWK) was attended by 1,351 KPK employees. Of these, 1,274 people were declared eligible.
Meanwhile, 75 employees including Novel Baswedan, Chairman of the KPK Employee Council who is also investigator Yudi Purnomo, Director of Anti-Corruption Socialization and Campaign Giri Suprapdiono, KPK Head of Task Force Harun Al-Rasyid, and Director of PJKAKI Sujarnarko were declared ineligible (TMS). Next, two other employees did not attend the interview test.
