Bank Mualamat Records Transaction through QRIS Grows 89.37 Percent

JAKARTA - PT Bank Muamalat Indonesia Tbk recorded that the number of transactions through QRIS in the Muamalat DIN mobile banking application as of November 2025 was recorded at more than 5 million or grew by around 89.37 percent year on year (year on year/yoy).

The surge was also accompanied by an increase in transaction volume in the same period of 71.06 percent (yoy).

Bank Muamalat Director Ricky Rikardo Mulyadi in his statement in Jakarta, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, January 6, said that the enthusiasm of Muamalat DIN users to make payments through QRIS continues to increase.

Muamalat DIN is not only able to facilitate QRIS transactions for commercial purposes, but can also accommodate religious social financial transactions such as zakat, infak, sedekah (ZIS), and waqf payments.

With a total of 211 thousand active users of Muamalat DIN, Ricky hopes that the donation of ZIS transactions and digital waqf are not only charity from the community, but also become part of strengthening the healthy economy of the community.

According to the company, the QRIS Bank Muamalat ecosystem is getting stronger with the support of more than 18 thousand merchants who have joined until the end of November 2025.

First launched in January 2022, Bank Muamalat's QRIS acquiring is offered to customers who have businesses including the MSME segment and meet the requirements as QRIS merchants.

This extensive merchant network is an important foundation in supporting the expansion of Bank Muamalat's digital payment services.

"Interestingly, the distribution of these merchants is not only concentrated on Java. Based on our internal data, the Sumatra Region dominates with the largest number of QRIS merchants. This indicates that the acceptance of QRIS as a digital payment method is increasingly widespread and touches people's daily activities," explained Ricky.

In addition to merchants, Bank Muamalat's QRIS acquiring service can also be used for donation payments and payment transactions at various institutions such as schools, mosques, donation agencies to hospitals.

According to Ricky, the promising growth in QRIS transactions is a concrete proof of the success of the digitalization strategy implemented by Bank Muamalat.

This digital transformation not only improves the quality of services and creates an efficient and inclusive transaction ecosystem, but also strengthens Bank Muamalat's competitive position in the national sharia banking industry.
