Pramono to Purbaya: Hopefully his promise of Rp20 trillion for Jakarta will come soon

JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung hopes that the Minister of Finance Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa will immediately disburse additional placement of funds to Jakarta as promised.

At the end of 2025, the Ministry of Finance has channeled the placement of funds of Rp. 1 trillion to Bank Jakarta. This fund was immediately absorbed for the distribution of credit. Pramono asked Purbaya to increase the nominal placement of funds to a total of Rp. 20 trillion.

"So according to the conversation at the time the Minister of Finance went to the City Hall, at that time the plan was Rp. 10 trillion, yes. Then I asked if it could be up to 20 trillion. Now the 1 trillion has been spent. We are waiting. Hopefully the promise will come soon," said Pramono to reporters, Tuesday, January 6.

Bank Jakarta President Director Agus Haryoto Widodo revealed that his party was ready to carry out the task from the DKI Provincial Government to absorb funding from the Ministry of Finance to the bank.

In the previous placement of funds, Bank Jakarta has continued to distribute loans to a number of regional business entities (BUMD) and micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).

"One trillion at that time was spent in a week. For the productive sector, especially in MSMEs. We have also reported this, we have reported it to the Ministry of Finance," said Agus.

"Basically we are open and ready to help the government in this matter. We are waiting for it if there is, we will immediately (channel)," he continued.

Previously, Purbaya Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa offered the distribution of more budget balance funds at Bank Indonesia of Rp. 10 trillion for Bank Jakarta, such as the distribution of Rp. 200 trillion to the state-owned bank conglomerate (himbara).

This was conveyed by Purbaya when meeting with DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung at the DKI Jakarta City Hall, which also discussed the continuation of reducing central government transfer funds to the region.

"There is one thing I think of in addition, yes. Jakarta has Bank Jakarta. I put it in Himbara, which is 200 trillion, what if I add a few tens of trillions to Bank Jakarta?" said Purbaya, Tuesday, October 7.

Purbaya then asked Pramono whether Bank Jakarta was able to absorb the funds as a distribution of credit to the community within the specified deadline.

"Can Bank Jakarta absorb it? Don't let me give money, it's still panicking. Oh my God. (If so) it can't be channeled," said Purbaya.

"But if it's only 10 trillion to 20 trillion, it can be multiplied to absorb it. Later it will be spread to MSMEs and other industries in Jakarta and elsewhere," he continued.
