Golden Menang at the 31st Critics Choice Awards, EJAE: This Song Gives Me Hope

JAKARTA - The rising singer and songwriter, EJAE, was in the spotlight in his victory speech at the 31st Critics Choice Awards. The Golden song, which was the OST of Kpop Demon Hunters, won the best song of the year.

EJAE received the award together with Mark Sonnenblick, one of the producers involved in the production of the phenomenal song. They said they were very honored by the appreciation given for their hard work.

On stage, EJAE revealed how the song Golden has a deep meaning for him. He sees this song as a symbol of hope.

"We are very honored to receive this award on behalf of the entire 'Golden' songwriting team, including 24, Ido, and Teddy... When writing this song, I found myself living through the character of Rumi. The life and journey in the film felt very familiar to me," said EJAE at the event held on Sunday, January 4 evening.

"This song needs to be an expression of hope to convince himself that he can write and achieve his dreams. In many ways, this song also gives hope to me. But most importantly, this song gives hope to so many people around the world, and that's really the greatest honor," he continued.

Meanwhile, Mark also thanked the audience and fans of the song who also helped him to success. Not to mention those who have already sung and sung the high tone of Golden in their cars and in their respective rooms.

"Thank you very much. This is a pride for us," he said.
