PM Anwar Emphasizes Malaysia's Commitment to Support the Liberation of Al-Aqsa Mosque

JAKARTA - Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim conveyed his government's commitment to supporting the efforts to free the Al-Aqsa Mosque at the time of receiving a visit from the Imam of the Al-Aqsa Mosque in the Holy City, Sheikh Ali Umar Yaqoub Abbasi, in Putrajaya.

"I share the initiatives carried out by the MADANI Government to continue to support the liberation of the Al-Aqsa Mosque," Anwar Ibrahim said in a statement delivered in Kuala Lumpur, reported by ANTARA, Monday, January 5.

Anwar stated that he and the Imam of the Al-Aqsa Mosque had a common view on the importance of the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the future of Al-Quds.

Anwar Ibrahim hopes that Allah SWT will always bless the efforts of all parties to continue to stand together with Palestine in opposing the violence of the Zionist Israeli regime.

Meanwhile, Imam Sheikh Ali Umar Yaqoub Abbasi expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the Malaysian government and people who were never tired of praying and distributing aid to the Palestinian people, both in Gaza and in Al-Quds.
